Michael McCann's presentations of aeriform photographs are like flights through time. In them, he abstracts the changes in the mural of New Jersey, application images taken in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.
"In 1930, New Jersey was a garden state," McCann says. "Much of the accompaniment is apparent in the aboriginal photography as a grayscale checkerboard of acreage fields, orchards, baby towns, and forests. Over time, as I empiric it in the 10-year increments in which the aeriform photos are available, once-distant villages grew calm as the spaces in amid were developed."
For the fourth year running, McCann will accompany his presentations to the Hunterdon County Arboretum, 1020 Route 31 N., Lebanon/Clinton Township.
The Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation will host "Hunterdon From Above" on March 6, "There Acclimated to be a Railroad" on March 20, and "New Jersey from Above" on March 27.
These shows run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and are adapted for ages 15 through adults.
