Have only had the product for a couple of days so I can't speak for durablity. Depth of field is great, lighting is excellent, edge to edge clarity and cheap batteries. Being 65 and having trouble with resolution in examining rocks and minerals I have many hand magnifying products, none comes close to the images this produces. Excellent product.
Not 45x but more around a 15x. Angle of view very narrow. I needed something to view gem stones while faceting them. I can see better at what I need to look at using a simple loupe without the built in lamp. The batteries that came with this mini microscope only lasted 5 minutes before going dead.
