Ok, microscope works well, very finicky on focus. Camera base is hard to adjust and flimsy. Instructions are non-existent, buttons for "zoom" and "snap" are misleading or simply do not work with the software provided... oh yeah, the software contains a Trojan Horse detected as: generic10.hhu (detected by AVG resident shield). Resolution of the microscope is actually very good, but the software does really blow. Also calibration is a little cumbersome, but it does seem to work if you are doing micro-measurement... final review: good enough for me. (will re-post/update review if we find better software and/or a solution to the existing problem)
This was bought for our technicians to use in analyzing plastic drums. It is relatively inexpensive but does a good job. The technicians like it well enough that they have recommended it to other departments.
Pros: Price, fast delivery, plug and play worked well and the microscope was operational within minutes of hooking it up to our computers. Microscope is easy to use and exceeded our expectations.
